EGYPT CENTRAL's 'White Rabbit' Cracks U.S. Top 100
June 8, 2011"White Rabbit", the sophomore album from Fat Lady Music/ILG/Warner Music Group recording artist EGYPT CENTRAL, sold around 5,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 78 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"White Rabbit" was produced by Skidd Mills (SAVING ABEL, 12 STONES) in early October 2010 and features twelve songs of heavy riffs, lyrics from the soul and strong melodic hooks. Threaded throughout this collection of songs is a story of consequences that occur when one accepts or declines the invitation from the White Rabbit.
"We knew we had solid songs, but when the opportunity came to work with Skidd, we found the person that could not only make a great sounding record, but also bring the best out of us," states lead singer John Falls. "We had a lot of growing to do as men and the time was right to give our fans what they deserved and what we knew we were capable of kick-ass rock!" "Collectively this is the best group of songs we have ever written," adds bassist Joey Chicago.
Taking its name from one the toughest roads that runs through their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, EGYPT CENTRAL was formed in 2001.
The first single from "White Rabbit" is the title track, and it is making its way up the Active Rock Radio chart, currently sitting at #19 and rising. Over 21,000 digital downloads of the single have been purchased since its March 1 release. A Mason Dixon-directed music video for the song can be seen below.
